Summary of The Job
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst works closely with the Reporting Analyst to analyze requirements, design reports and dashboards. He/She will analyse data to identify trends and patterns relevant to the business and then produce reports and dashboards that provides business insights
Responsibilities
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and dashboards for the business
- Develop and implement data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems to support report and dashboard development
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Perform local BI training for users across the business
Qualification
- B.Sc Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
- Strong Business Intelligence experience
- 2 – 3 years of work experience
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages and
- tools for analyzing datasets (Qlikview,Qliksense,Looker Studio, Business Objects, Business Intelligence/Data Analysis tools/platforms)
- Good understanding of reporting Data Models
- Knowledge of systems, processes and the application of IT to the business
- Experience working with key business users to design, configure, and modify BI tools and deliverables to meet business requirements
- Good knowledge of SQL, data modeling and design
