Create a Wonderful World Initiative (CWI) is a registered non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Borno. CWI prime motto is to create a wonderful world for the future generation. A world where girls and boys have equal access to education, basic health care service, and protected from all forms of abuse and have knowledge and skills to thrive within and beyond communities with devastating effects of climate change. A world where women and men are resilient to shocks and stresses of Humanitarian crisis and climate change. In 2019, a group of educated, dynamic and like-minded youths got together and established this organization in other to address the most urgent needs of the most vulnerable people of Northen Nigeria and subsequently the country at large. The organization’s focus was not kept limited either in terms of geography or sector. CWI has been carrying out a range of interventions in the areas of Health and Hygiene Education, Awareness raising, protection, Women empowerment and climate change.

Purpose:

  • The Communication Intern will support the development and dissemination of internal and external communication materials to promote Create a Wonderful world Initiative’s work. This includes managing media relations, graphic designs, visibility materials,photography and Videography. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication plan aligned with project goals
  • Create and manage content for social media, website, newsletters, and donor reports
  • Document success stories, case studies, and field activities
  • Coordinate visibility and branding in line with donor guidelines
  • Maintain photo and video archives of project activities
  • Monitor communication impact and engagement metrics

Essential skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Videography, Public Relations, or related field
  • Minimum of  1 year experience in communications, preferably in the NGO sector
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency in graphic design and multimedia tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)
  • Familiarity with humanitarian donor visibility requirements
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset
