Our LOCATE project; a CDC/PEPFAR HIV prevention, care and treatment program is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position: CLINICAL CARE SPECIALIST [Imo State] Overall Job Function: This position provides technical support for multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care and treatment, working with organization clinicians and health facility- based site teams to implement care and antiretroviral treatment services.

Job Description

  • As an integral member of the Local Government Area technical team, the Data Support Officer will strengthen the quality, completeness, and integration of HIV-related data into national health information systems.
  • The DSO will support robust Monitoring & Evaluation systems, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and drive data-informed decision-making across supported facilities and community programs.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of HIV/AIDS service delivery across all service points (HTS, ART, PMTCT, TB)
  • Manage documentation of data from community programmes.
  • Ensure daily updates of electronic medical records using service delivery forms
  • Generate and upload data to the National Data Repository (NDR) and LAMISPlus Central Server daily.
  • Participate in monthly government-led M&E meetings and data validation exercises.
  • Supervise DECs and manage special data/report requests from facility, LGA, state, or project teams.
  • Maintain a proper inventory of data collection tools.
  • Support the generation of reports and entry of data into the NDARS DHIS platform.
  • Conduct monthly documentation audits and flag areas for improvement.
  • Ensure data triangulation across programme levels.
  • Review facility and LGA performance indicators.
  • Assist in all M&E activities as assigned.

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in M&E or data management in HIV/AIDS programs.
  • Proficiency in LAMISPlus, DHIS2 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
