Functions & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day oversight of development communications retainers.
- Translate program strategy into structured communications architecture.
- Draft high-quality strategy documents, reports, and frameworks.
- Align communications outputs with the theory of change and donor expectations.
- Support proposal development and institutional growth.
- Standardise documentation processes within IMPACT.
- Contribute to long-term strategic positioning.
- Develop and manage the production of external-facing communications materials.
- Advise program teams on effective communication approaches for various stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of development communications activities.
- Coordinate with teams to ensure accurate representation of program results.
- Build the capacity of internal teams in development communications best practices.
- Oversee branding and compliance for projects.
Requirements
- 6–9 years’ experience in development communications, consulting, or institutional advisory.
- Experience working with foundations, donor-funded programs, multilaterals, or DFIs.
- Strong structured writing ability (strategy documents, not just campaign content).

- Familiarity with impact reporting and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)concepts.
- Commercial awareness and scope discipline.
- Professional maturity and confidence in senior stakeholder environments.
