Human Capital Partners (HCP) is a professional services firm specialising in the provision of professional services covering the entire spectrum of the Human Resources function. The E-Learning Interaction Developer will play a crucial role in the creation and development of interactive e-learning modules, ensuring they are engaging, pedagogically sound, and technically robust. This position focuses on the design, development, and integration of interactive learning elements, leveraging tools and technologies to create immersive and effective learning experiences. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in both instructional design principles and technical development skills to build interactive and responsive e-learning content.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- E-Learning Interaction Development: Design, develop, and implement interactive features within e-learning courses, including quizzes, assessments, simulations, drag-and-drop activities, and multimedia integration.
- Course Integration: Work closely with instructional designers and content developers to integrate interactive components into e-learning modules while maintaining alignment with course objectives and pedagogical principles.
- Authoring Tool Proficiency: Use industry-standard e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, DominKnow etc) to create responsive, mobile-friendly interactive content.
- UI/UX Design: Ensure the user interface (UI) is intuitive and user experience (UX) is seamless for learners, following best practices in design and accessibility.
- Testing & Optimization: Test and troubleshoot e-learning interactions to ensure functionality, usability, and performance across different browsers and devices. Optimize content for speed and accessibility.
- Feedback & Iteration: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, identify improvements, and make adjustments to e-learning content as necessary.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and translate them into engaging interactive content.
- Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain documentation for e-learning development processes, including code snippets, instructional guidelines, and project specifications.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in e-learning development, including gamification, microlearning, and adaptive learning techniques.
- Accessibility & Compliance: Ensure all e-learning interactions adhere to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508) and other regulatory compliance requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Multimedia Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of experience in e-learning development, with a focus on interactive content creation.
- Experience using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery for creating custom interactions and enhancing the learner experience.
- Experience with SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), AICC, or other LMS standards for course deployment and tracking. : Intermediate experience with integrating multimedia elements (video, audio, images) into interactive e-learning modules.
- UI/UX Design: Basic knowledge of user interface and user experience design principles, ensuring ease of use and effective learner interaction.
- Experience with gamification techniques and incorporating game-based learning elements into e-learning courses.
- Knowledge of cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Google Drive, SharePoint) for content sharing and version management.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles like ADDIE, SAM, or other instructional design models.
- Familiarity with video-based learning and creating interactive video content.
