Role Overview
- We are seeking a Front-End Development Course Tutor who will deliver high-quality virtual instruction, guide project-based learning, and mentor learners through the process of becoming professional-ready developers.
- The ideal candidate is not only skilled technically but also enjoys teaching, breaking down complex concepts, and supporting student growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured and engaging lessons on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
- Explain front-end development concepts clearly with real industry use-cases and demos.
- Guide students through coding assignments, product builds, and portfolio projects.
- Provide thoughtful feedback on code quality, accessibility, readability, and best practices.
- Host weekly live classes, reviews, and Q&A or mentorship sessions.
- Support students with debugging, version control, deployment, and workflow guidance.
- Maintain an encouraging and professional learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve learning materials and curriculum standards.
Required Technical Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate practical knowledge in:
- HTML5, CSS3 (including Flexbox and Grid), responsive and mobile-first design
- JavaScript (ES6+), including functions, DOM manipulation, async programming, and APIs
- Modern UI frameworks such as React, Next.js
- Component-based architecture and state management (React Hooks, Context API; Redux is a plus)
- Version Control with Git and GitHub workflows
- API integration (REST or GraphQL)
- Deployment using platforms like Netlify or Vercel
Additional Skills (Strong Advantage):
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles and design systems
- Use of Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for interface planning
- Familiarity with TailwindCSS, Styled Components, or CSS preprocessors (SASS/SCSS)
- Understanding of accessibility standards and performance optimization
- Experience working in Agile or collaborative development environments (Slack, Trello, Notion)
- Previous mentoring, tutoring, or leadership experience
