Federal University of Environment and Technology, Koroma/Sakpenwa was established as a Federal university in Koroma/Sakpenwa, Tai Local Government Area, in the Ogoni region of Rivers State. Its creation is rooted in long-standing calls for an institution dedicated to environmental restoration and sustainable development in the Niger Delta / Ogoniland — a region deeply affected by environmental degradation. The university’s motto is “Advancing Knowledge, Conserving Nature.” FUET aims to be a “centre of excellence” focused on environmental sustainability, technological innovation, and responding to environmental challenges through research and education.
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a good honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper Division) in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Evidence of admission or enrollment into a postgraduate (Master’s) programme is an advantage.
- NYSC discharge/exemption or valid proof where applicable.
