As a Graphics Design Tutor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and instructing students in various aspects of graphic design, from the fundamentals to advanced techniques. You will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment, ensuring that students develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the field of graphic design. - Conduct one-on-one and group tutorial sessions to provide in-depth guidance and feedback to students on graphic design concepts and projects.
- Develop and deliver structured lessons, workshops, and instructional materials, including handouts, presentations, and assignments.
- Evaluate and assess students' work, providing constructive critiques and suggestions for improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and software and incorporate them into the curriculum to ensure students are learning the latest design techniques.
- Offer support and mentorship to students, helping them build a portfolio and prepare for a career in graphic design.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to maintain a cohesive and effective learning environment.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance, and provide regular reports to management.
- Act as a resource for students, answering questions and providing guidance on design-related topics.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a graphic designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and the ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
- Passion for design and a commitment to helping students succeed.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
- A genuine desire to inspire and mentor the next generation of graphic designers.
