About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Planning & Supplier Management Specialist (Level 2) for a Tier 1 Oil & Gas servicing Company in Nigeria to support IT strategy execution through effective planning, supplier performance monitoring, and contract management. This role ensures that IT suppliers deliver value, align with business needs, and comply with contractual obligations, while also contributing to IT planning and resource optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support IT planning activities including budget preparation, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  2. Manage supplier relationships, monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  3. Assist in evaluating vendors and supporting contract negotiations.
  4. Track and report supplier performance, highlighting risks and recommending improvements.
  5. Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance with policies and contracts.
  6. Contribute to IT performance reviews and reporting dashboards.
  7. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency in IT supplier management.
  8. Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks for IT supplier engagements.
  9. Maintain accurate documentation of supplier agreements, performance reports, and planning data.
  10. Act as a liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and suppliers to resolve escalations.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
  2. 5+ years’ experience in IT supplier/vendor management, procurement, or IT business support.
  3. Knowledge of IT planning, performance management, and supplier governance.
  4. Proficiency in contract management tools and performance tracking systems.
  5. Strong negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills.
  6. Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) is an advantage.
  7. Certifications such as ITIL, CIPS, or PMP are a plus.
  8. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
