Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework that aligns with UNDP Climate Peace Hub indicators and reflects project goals and outcomes.
- Plan and conduct baseline, midline, and endline surveys in Illela communities, ensuring data is collected rigorously and is representative of target groups.
- Supervise the collection of primary and secondary data using KOBO and other mobile data collection tools, ensuring quality control and accuracy.
- Produce regular monitoring reports that include disaggregated data by gender, age, and IDP status, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
- Establish and manage community-level feedback and accountability mechanisms such as surveys, suggestion boxes, and focus group discussions.
- Monitor and track outcomes related to CSA adoption, nutrition improvements, and market integration, ensuring progress is measured consistently.
- Train project staff and community committees on M&E standards, tools, and reporting formats to build local monitoring capacity.
- Provide accurate and verified data to support donor reporting, audits, and external evaluations, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and case studies that highlight best practices and inform adaptive programming.
- Integrate conflict-sensitive and gender-responsive indicators into the monitoring system to ensure inclusivity and relevance of results.
Qualifications
- BSc. in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field; an MSc. is preferred and adds strong value.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation roles within NGO or donor-funded projects.
- Practical experience with KOBO, SPSS, and other data management and statistical analysis tools, ensuring high-quality data outputs.
- Strong skills in report writing, data visualization, and presentation, with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
- Sound knowledge of accountability and learning frameworks, including participatory monitoring and community engagement approaches.
- Fluency in English and Hausa is required
