Job Summary
- The Nurse Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the nursing team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Assistant will assist with basic nursing care, perform routine tasks, and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist with basic care needs, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
- Nutrition and Hydration: Assist with feeding, serving meals, and ensuring patients have access to water and other fluids.
- Hygiene and Environment: Maintain a clean and safe environment, including patient rooms and common areas.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information and care provided.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an HND, OND, SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 2 - 5 years work experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely.
Working Conditions:
- Work Environment: Hospital or healthcare facility.
- Shift Work: May include day, evening, night, or rotating shifts.
