Role description
- The Project Communications Officer will lead and coordinate all project communications, ensuring effective visibility, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires strong writing, coordination, and content management skills to support project implementation and reporting.
Job Responsibilities
Project Communications Management
- Coordinate communications activities across project timelines and milestones.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all project outputs.
Content Writing
- Draft high-quality written content, including captions, scripts, summaries, and articles.
- Edit and review communications materials.
Graphic Design
- Design visually compelling communication materials including social media graphics, reports, presentations, and IEC materials.
- Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
Visual & Digital Content Oversight
- Coordinate photography, videography, and multimedia content production for projects.
- Manage project content repositories.
Stakeholder Engagement & PR
- Support public relations activities for projects.
- Liaise with internal teams on communications-related tasks.
- Support event communications, launches, and dissemination activities.
- Track communications outputs and outcomes for reporting purposes.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Media, Journalism, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Applicants must attach a portfolio showcasing relevant graphic design and communications work
- Experience working in communications on development projects, NGOs, or donor-funded programs is an advantage.
- Proficiency in digital tools and content management platforms.
