We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Junior Software Project Manager (JSPM) to join our team. This role is perfect for a motivated individual with a foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) who is eager to grow their project management skills. The JSPM will work closely with senior management, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and finalisation of software projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Coordinate with development teams, designers, and quality assurance specialists to track progress and manage dependencies.
  • Monitor project scope and ensure all project documentation (e.g., plans, status reports, risk logs) is accurately maintained and updated.
  • Facilitate team meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring action items are clearly captured and followed up.
  • Identify and help mitigate potential project risks and issues, escalating to Senior PMs when necessary.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and challenges clearly and effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Support the use of Agile/Scrum methodologies within the teams.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a project coordination, business analysis, or team lead role within a technology/software environment.
  • Basic knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly organised, detail-oriented, and a proactive problem-solver.

Preferred (A Plus):

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Any relevant certification (e.g., CAPM, ScrumMaster/CSM, or Prince2 Foundation).
