Role Overview
- We are a leading insurance organization developing next-generation line of business applications for General, Life and Health Insurance.
- The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with product owners, subject matter experts, and development teams to capture and translate business needs into detailed user stories and requirements for a cloud-native, multi- tenant insurance SaaS platform.
- While stakeholder management is secondary, you will ensure that regulatory compliance (IFRS 17, NDPR, NIST), and multi-tenant configurations are considered and accurately documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Elicitation: Gather and document requirements for policy lifecycle management, underwriting, claims, reinsurance, and compliance (IFRS 17, NDPR, NIST).
- User Stories & Backlog Management: Define clear acceptance criteria for core modules including Policy Administration, Underwriting, Rating & Quotation, Claims Management, Reinsurance, Technical Risk Management, Direct Online Distribution Channels, Actuarial & Product, Billing & Payments, Claims & Benefits, etc.
- Regulatory Alignment: Collaborate with Compliance SMEs to incorporate IFRS 17 and NDPR requirements into system specs.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with UX designers, QA engineers, and developers to ensure clarity of requirements in sprint planning and execution.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps and recommend enhancements to align with multi-tenant SaaS best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is beneficial but not mandatory.
Experience
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst on large-scale enterprise projects, ideally within financial services or insurance.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a multi-team environment.
Other Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with IFRS 17, NDPR, or similar regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for an on-site, fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, with an ability to handle complex, multi-tenant requirements.
