Key Responsibilities
As a Sports News Content Writer Intern, you will:
- Research, write, and publish engaging articles on various sports topics, with a focus on Nigerian and international football.
- Cover breaking news, match previews, reviews, and feature stories.
- Craft catchy and SEO-friendly headlines to attract readers.
- Source and include relevant images, videos, and social media content in your articles.
- Proofread and edit your work to ensure it is accurate, factual, and error-free.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and news in the world of sports.
Who We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
- A current student or recent graduate in Mass Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field (or simply a proven passion for writing).
- A deep passion for and strong knowledge of sports, particularly football (NPFL, EPL, La Liga, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to write in a clear, engaging, and conversational style.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with using content management systems (like WordPress) is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and accept constructive feedback.
- A reliable internet connection and a personal computer/laptop.
