UX Designer at Circuit Pointe

Circuit Pointe is a non-profit, youth-led organization established in 2015 by a young female Nigerian after hearing untold stories of oppressed women, abused teens and victims of traditional practices. We have a 3-member Board of Trustees and 40 volunteer members who are young people between 18-35 years.

Job Overview:

  • We are looking for a talented and creative UX Designer to join our team and help us craft engaging and user-friendly digital experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding user needs and turning them into intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
  • As a UX Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and UI designers to shape how users interact with our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and interviews to gain deep insight into user needs and behaviors.
  • Translate research findings into user journeys, personas, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Create and iterate on design solutions that address business goals and user needs.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define features and functionality.
  • Present and defend design decisions and deliverables to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all designs are consistent with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Design or related field.
  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
  • Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  • Experience conducting user research and testing (e.g., A/B testing, usability sessions).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive design.
  • Familiarity with agile and iterative development environments.
