Job Summary:

  • As an Android POS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android-based point-of-sale applications.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of POS applications.
  • Your work will contribute to creating seamless and efficient payment experiences for customers and businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Android Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain Android-based point-of-sale applications that support various payment methods and integrate with POS hardware devices (e.g., card readers, receipt printers).
  • Payment Processing Integration: Experience Integrating payment processing APIs and SDKs into the Android POS application, ensuring compliance with payment industry standards (PCI-DSS) and security best practices.
  • User Interface (UI) Design: Create user-friendly and intuitive user interfaces from UX designs.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive customer payment data, including encryption, secure authentication, and adherence to industry security standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the POS application, including technical specifications, code documentation, and user guides.
  • Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed POS applications, including bug fixes, updates, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in Android POS app development using Java and Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of POS systems, payment processing, ISO8583, Socket and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with POS hardware integration (e.g., card readers, barcode scanners).
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and payment security standards (PCI-DSS).
  • Experience integrating with card processors such as NIBSS, UPSL and ISW.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
