Job Summary

  • The associate designer will support the lead in assisting in concept development, design research, and presentations
  • Producing drawings, renderings, and technical documents using software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to refine designs Ensuring designs align with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards
  • Contributing to project coordination, material selection, and construction documentation

Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Design:

  • Assist in developing design concepts, mood boards, and presentations.
  • Support space planning, furniture layouts, and interior detailing.
  • Select materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories per project requirements.
  • Prepare drawings, 3D renderings, and presentations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit.
  • Work with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to source materials and furniture.
  • Assist in project documentation, including FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) schedules and specifications.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, and project installations.
  • Ensure design execution aligns with the client's vision and project goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and sustainability practices
  • Oversee decisions regarding overall design creation and development
  • Facilitate multi-disciplinary collaborations as well as brainstorming sessions
  • Review, evaluate and modify designs to suit authority requirements and meet design intentions

Qualifications and Experience

  • B,sc in Architecture minimum. Masters is an advantage
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years in a similar capacity

Skills and Competenct Requirements:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Illustrator or other design programs
  • Experience working with BIM
  • Excellent portfolio of previous works
  • Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Project Management skills
