- As a Backend Engineer, you will build and maintain customer-facing products and tools that deliver direct business impact and shape Autochek’s long-term technical vision. This includes designing scalable backend systems, ensuring high-quality standards, and driving innovation in software development.
- Your focus will be on creating seamless, reliable, and efficient experiences that empower companies to grow, while preparing Autochek for expansion into new markets.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Design and build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and tools to power
- Autochek engineers and operations
- Own functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from inception to deployment.
- Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebases,
- infrastructure, and processes you will encounter.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience building scalable backend systems and services.
- Familiarity with Go (Golang) is an added advantage.
- Ability to design, build, and maintain reusable tools and libraries.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of software engineering development cycles and best practices.
- Ability to set and maintain high standards for code quality, scalability, and performance.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in creating libraries and tools for engineers and operations.
- Hands-on experience building and designing scalable backend systems.
- Solid background in working with databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Demonstrated success in contributing to backend engineering projects in fast-paced environments.
