We are looking for a skilled and proactive Backend Engineer to join our growing fintech team in Yaba, specializing in cryptocurrency trading, gift card redemption, and digital payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems and APIs to support web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to implement new features.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of backend services.
- Work on blockchain and Web3 integrations to support fintech operations.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with PHP and Node.js backend development.
- Knowledge of Web3 technologies and blockchain integration.
- Experience in the finance or fintech industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL & NoSQL) and cloud services.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Proximity to Yaba is an added advantage.
