Job Summary

The Business Research Analyst will provide analytical, strategic, and administrative support to senior management, with a focus on market research, business intelligence, financial data analysis, and executive coordination.

This role is ideal for a smart, detail-oriented professional who combines strong research and data interpretation skills with organizational efficiency and a proactive business mindset. The successful candidate will support decision-making processes, manage executive projects, and ensure seamless business operations in a fast-paced financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive industry, competitor, and market trend analysis relevant to finance, investment, and business development
  • Collect and interpret economic, financial, and operational data to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare research reports, dashboards, and presentations to support strategic initiatives and executive decisions.
  • Track regulatory changes, economic indicators, and market movements affecting the Nigerian finance landscape.
  • Support corporate projects, partnerships, and investment analyses.
  • Provide direct administrative and operational support to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Assist in developing frameworks for tracking KPIs across business functions.
  • Handle sensitive business and financial information with discretion.
  • Uphold the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

Please note that your employment is subject to a periodic performance contract with clearly defined Key Result Areas and Key Performance Indicators. 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CFI, or similar) is an added advantage.
  • 3–6 years’ experience in business research, market analysis, or strategy support, preferably within finance, banking, or consulting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment principles, and business strategy.
  • Excellent skills in data gathering, research writing, and analytical reasoning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and preferably Power BI, SPSS, or Tableau.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and multitask effectively under pressure.
