Roles & Responsibilities
The Communications Intern will;
Digital & Social Media:
- Draft social media captions and basic content for the Foundation's platforms, including lnstagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), Linked In, and YouTube.
- Support content planning by contributing ideas aligned with the Foundation's programmes and activities.
- Assist in monitoring social media performance and preparing media analysis and reports.
Website & Blog
- Support regular updates to the Foundation's website, including programme updates, news, and announcements.
- Assist in drafting and editing blog posts, features, and short articles that highlight the Foundation's work, partnerships, and impact.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather content for the website and blog.
- Ensure website and blog content is accurate, timely, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Internal Newsletter
- Create a content and publication schedule for internal newsletters.
- Liaise with staff to generate content for the newsletter
- Assist in the development and dissemination of the newsletter.
External Newsletter
- Collate monthly updates, events, and key information from for inclusion in external newsletters.
Administrative & Team Support
- Draft internal memos, including fund request memos, as required.
- Collate, update, and upload all Communications documents on OneDrive for easy team access
- Set up internal meetings and follow up on action points.
- Track and follow up on incomplete tasks related to Communications deliverables.
- Actively participate in task implementation and gain working knowledge of team processes to support continuity when required.
- Provide general support to the Communications Team as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Communication, Information Management, Education, Public Relations, Social Sciences or other related fields.
- 0 - 2 years' experience
