ECWA Hospital, Egbe, a division of ECWA (Evangelical Church Winning All), is a rural teaching hospital established in 1952 and located in Egbe, Kogi State, Nigeria. The hospital serves a 100-mile radius of villages and small towns in a poor area. It is a 110-bed hospital on a 32-acre complex that includes 5 wards for patients, 3 Operating rooms, a Maternity ward, an Under-fives clinic, an Eye care center, an HIV/AIDs counseling center, a Physiotherapy clinic, and a dental clinic. The hospital runs a 24-hour emergency and intensive care unit. The hospital has an X-ray department with digital radiology including portable X-ray, outpatient and bedside ultrasound services, electrocardiography, gastroscopy, and HSG.

  • Reporting to the Manager for Clinical Support services, the Data Entry Clerk is responsible for transferring patient information from paper format to computer files or Database systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Register patients and record details in the registers and update the same to the NMRS.
  • Maintain and manage all CIHP Databases and devices.
  • Daily HTS, PMTCT, Viral Load, and Clinic appointment updates on the NMRS.
  • Weekly upload for Commodity upload to the NDR.
  • Daily upload of XML to CDR, NDR, and Backup to 9the Repository.
  • Prepare all monthly summary forms every month.
  • Send weekly reports to the Designated platforms weekly.
  • Analyze data from the various registers and compare with NMRS.
  • Maintain the database at the facility level.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the health facility on a timely basis.

Qualifications:

  • National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, and any other relevant disciplines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving to incorporate new and effective ways to achieve better results.
  • Ability to work diligently under pressure.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Experience

  • Proven experience of at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • An attitude of serving and a desire to teach and train others.
  • Proficient computer skills and proven working knowledge of email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of office equipment.
