Job Summary
- We are seeking a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician who is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining prescription information in the pharmacy system, ensuring timely and precise processing of medication orders.
Responsibilities
- Enter prescription information, patient details, and insurance data into pharmacy systems with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness, correctness, and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate with prescribers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve data or coverage issues.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, labeling, and organizing medication orders.
Requirements
- OND / HND or equivalent (required).
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or state licensure (as applicable).
- Previous experience in pharmacy or healthcare data entry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
