- We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst to champion a culture of data-driven decision making by ensuring the quality, compliance, and management of data across the organization.
- The role involves collaboration with various departments to enforce standards, manage data quality, and support the enterprise’s data governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with different departments to enforce data standards and policies. Facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
- Monitor and maintain high levels of data quality within the organization. Implement tools and processes to cleanse, organize, and categorize data.
- Resolving problems and issues that data stewards can’t resolve on their own.
- Document all processes related to data governance initiatives. Maintain records of issues, resolutions, and configurations.
- Assess current state of data maturity within the organization across the business lines and support groups. Identify gaps across all the data maturity dimensions; recommend improvements.
- Monitor and resolve data governance-related issues.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data governance policies and procedures.
- Work with the business units and support groups to run data quality audits with focus on improving the data quality and data management.
- Work with Data Protection Office to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field of data governance.
- Work closely with data governance consultants & data stewards across the organization to ensure the implementation and adherence to data governance policies and procedures.
Education / Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Computer/System/ Information Technology or a related discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years working experience in data management role
- Relevant certification such in Data Governance, Data Management, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), Agile Project Management, Data Analytics
- Working knowledge of data governance/data management frameworks, data analytics tools and concepts including EDA, Tableau, SSRS, Power BI, Big Data technologies, agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks.
- Working experience in communication and stakeholder management including storytelling, data analysis and visualization.
