Digital Producer (YouTube, Social & Content) at The Elevation Church

The Digital Producer is responsible for ideation, creation, packaging, and performance of our digital-first content across YouTube, podcast & online radio platforms. This role is responsible for what gets made, how it’s made, and how it performs — ensuring that sermons, teachings, and creative content are translated into compelling digital formats that grow reach, engagement, and cultural relevance—without compromising spiritual integrity. The Digital Producer is expected to generate winning ideas, oversee execution, and build formats that audiences love. This is a creative role with growth accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Content Ideation & Show Development

  • Develop original digital-first show concepts, series, and content formats for YouTube, social platforms, and podcasts. 
  • Develop formats around sermons, teachings, testimonies, devotionals, conversations, and faith-based cultural topics.
  • Create content according to the agreed content calendar aligning with the creative direction for the quarter; Monthly teaching series, content pillars, National / Global calendars, social/cultural trending issues & needs etc.
  • Plan strategically ahead of all events, to maximize content outside of regular broadcast for digital platforms. Curate content from speakers, attendees, etc 
  • Revamp and repurpose relevant archival content.
  • Work with TEC creative team to create consistent drama series, UGCs, skits etc.
  • Generate content ideas that are culturally relevant, shareable, and performance driven.
  • Create content roadmaps, calendars and schedules aligned with growth targets, audience interests and consistent timely broadcast.
  • Translate long sermons into compelling short-form clips, highlight moments, and themed series for digital platforms.
  • Identify winning formats and scale them into repeatable shows / franchises.

Creative Ownership, Timelines & Execution Oversight

  • Execute creative direction and oversee timelines, from concept to final release across video and audio content. 
  • Oversee production and post-production to ensure content is ready ahead of schedule, meets creative, storytelling, and platform standards.
  • Work closely with hosts, talent, pastors, speakers, editor, designers, the post-production supervisor and Snr Producer to deliver strong content consistently.
  • Ensure content is theologically sound, respectful, and aligned with the Elevation church’s values and doctrine.

Platform Strategy (YouTube & Podcasts/Online radio)

  • Own content strategy for YouTube (long-form sermons, video podcasts, shows, Shorts) and podcast platforms / online radio (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.)
  • Design content formats that work across long-form video, short-form clips, and audio-first podcasts.
  • Ensure video podcasts and shows are packaged to convert easily into audio podcasts for streaming platforms.
  • Understand and apply best practices for discoverability, thumbnails, titles, hooks, retention, and shareability.

Audience Growth, Performance & Numbers

  • Own performance outcomes: views, watch time, retention, engagement, subscriber growth, and downloads.
  • Work with digital marketing team to analyze performance data to refine content ideas, formats, runtimes, and release strategies.
  • Experiment with new formats, hooks, and content styles to drive growth.
  • Work with the Digital team to optimize performance.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Brief and clearly guide editors, production assistants, researcher etc on creative goals and performance expectations.
  • Provide creative feedback to hosts and contributors to improve digital performance.
  • Work closely with the Senior Producer to balance creative ambition with production realities.
  • Work closely and harmoniously with Digital team, all stakeholders in other to achieve set targets. 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Consistent delivery of high-quality digital content across YouTube, social media, and podcast platforms.
  • Growth in audience size, reach, and engagement across all digital platforms.
  • Increased visibility and relevance of TEC’s content online.
  • Strong performance of new content ideas, shows, and formats.
  • Timely delivery of content in line with agreed content calendars.
  • Positive audience feedback and engagement on published content.
  • Improvement in the overall appeal and shareability of digital content.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience creating or producing digital-first content (YouTube, social, podcasts).
  • Proven track record of developing content formats that grow audiences and drive numbers.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube content formats, retention strategies, thumbnails, titles, and hooks.
  • Strong understanding of short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) and audio podcast formats.
  • Demonstrated creative ideation skills with the ability to turn ideas into repeatable shows.
  • Experience overseeing production and post-production workflows.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant digital tools and software.
