Job Summary

  • The Field Verification Officer is responsible for conducting on-site verification of customer, employee, or vendor information to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • The role involves field visits, data collection, reporting, and follow-up actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical verification of addresses, workplaces, businesses, and references as assigned
  • Verify personal, employment, residential, and business information provided by applicants or staff
  • Interview neighbors, employers, referees, or relevant third parties when required
  • Capture accurate field data, photographs, GPS coordinates, and observations
  • Identify discrepancies, risks, or red flags and report findings promptly
  • Prepare and submit detailed verification reports within set timelines
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
  • Coordinate with internal teams (HR, Credit, Risk, Operations) for clarification and updates
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements
  • Follow up on incomplete or inconclusive verifications when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of OND / HND / Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 1–3 years’ experience in field verification, investigations, credit analysis, or similar role
  • Knowledge of local areas and ability to navigate locations effectively
  • Valid means of identification; motorcycle/driver’s license is an added advantage.
