We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Frontend Engineer to join our development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-facing features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript(ReactJs).
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers to implement functional, interactive designs.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and responsiveness.
- Debug and resolve front-end issues across different browsers and devices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end development best practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Stay up to date with emerging front-end trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Experience: 6months - 1 year of professional experience (SIWES or NYSC preferred)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, CSS3, and TypeScript
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate a robust command of these technologies during the interview process.
- Knowledge of JSON, XML, Session, Cookies, and other JavaScript web APIs required
- Experience developing cross-platform, data-rich internet applications
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services
- Understanding and direct practical experience with progressive web app design, responsive design principles, and mobile-first development
- Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Experience with TypeScript
- CSS3, Tailwind, Chadcn, Material UI, styled components, SASS
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme)
- Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with modern build tools (e.g., Web-pack, Babel)
