Job Summary
- Frontend Developer with expertise in WordPress, HTML/CSS, React, and CMS management to create and maintain brand-aligned functional websites.
- The role will encompass front-end development, including WordPress theme implementation, WordPress plugin development and integration, and ensuring security through regular updates.
- The Webmaster ensure websites are secure, high-performing, SEO-optimized, and user-friendly while acting as the go-to webmaster.
Main Responsibilities
- Build responsive WordPress websites that reflect brand identity and essence.
- Code custom websites/plugins using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and PHP.
- Develop landing pages and forms for lead generation.
- Optimize website speed, usability, and cross-device performance.
- Monitor uptime, fix bugs, and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement SEO best practices (metadata, alt tags, sitemaps).
- Use Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager to track traffic and performance.
- Ensure GDPR/accessibility compliance.
- Perform backups and malware scans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2 years of demonstrable experience as a WordPress developer.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes and plugins.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP for WordPress development and other languages.
- Experience with responsive web design and mobile-friendly website development.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and visually appealing websites.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for website optimisation.
- Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles and,
