Job Description

  • As a Backend Developer, you must be proficient in GoLand and JavaScript, and will equally play a key role in designing and maintaining the backbone of our systems and applications for our top brands (Trade Lenda, One Kiosk, and its subsidiaries) as Africa's No.1, and supporting the CTO in providing technical guidance to the development team.You will report directly to the CTO, Chief Technical Officer/Head of the Tech Unit.

Your schedule of duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the architectural design of software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and the implementation of best practices.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely support to maintain system integrity.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for critical production issues.
  • Writing reports & Conducting development tests.
  • Conceiving and implementing concepts, guidelines, and strategies in various creative projects
  • Periodically reviewing and advising the Tech Line Management on customer insights, market, and industry trends.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and providing staff leadership as well as inspiration to drive change and build team spirit.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in with 2 - 3 years of experience.
