Our client is a well-established Pan-African conglomerate with over 60 years of experience across multiple sectors in more than 20 African countries. 

We are looking to hire a proactive and experienced  Head of Corporate social Responsibility. The Head of CSR will lead the Group’s corporate citizenship and social impact agenda, designing and implementing initiatives that strengthen relationships with communities, enhance the Group’s reputation, and support sustainable development across Africa and Asia. The role will focus on community development, employee volunteering, stakeholder engagement, and strategic philanthropy, while working closely with the Head of Sustainability to ensure alignment with broader ESG commitments.  

 KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a Group-wide CSR strategy aligned with strategic pillars.
  • Establish a CSR governance framework across business units and countries.
  • Build and manage long-term community development programs in key operating locations.
  • Manage relationships with community leaders, local governments, and NGOs.
  • Oversee the Group’s philanthropic contributions and social investment portfolio.
  • Identify and manage partnerships with NGOs, development institutions, and educational organizations.
  • Develop and manage Group employee volunteering programs.
  • Integrate CSR into employee engagement, culture, and leadership programs.
  • Develop impact measurement frameworks to assess CSR program effectiveness.
  • Provide CSR data to support Group ESG reporting, working closely with the Head of Sustainability.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications to communicate social impact story.
  • Represent the Group in community, social development, and industry forums.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10–15+ years of experience in CSR, social impact, community relations, or development programs.
  • Experience managing multi-country CSR initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, program design, and impact measurement.
  • Excellent leadership, cross-cultural collaboration, and communication abilities.
