Salary Range: ?1,800,000 – ?2,300,000 Monthly
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Technology – Software Division to lead our software engineering operations and drive technological excellence across our organization. This role is ideal for an innovative leader with deep expertise in modern software development, architecture, and agile delivery within fast-paced, technology-driven environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s software strategy, managing engineering operations, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions that align with long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Software Division, ensuring full alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team focused on innovation, accountability, and results.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that promotes continuous improvement, excellence, and cross-functional synergy.

Software Development & Delivery

  • Oversee the complete software development lifecycle — from architecture design to deployment and support.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software products and features that enhance business performance.
  • Implement and enforce best practices in coding, testing, documentation, and project execution.

Technology Architecture & Innovation

  • Design and maintain scalable and secure system architectures to support rapid growth and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate tools that enhance productivity and product performance.
  • Champion modern engineering methodologies, including DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization frameworks.

Project & Process Excellence

  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure software quality, team productivity, and delivery efficiency.
  • Continuously improve engineering workflows and governance to ensure operational excellence.

Talent Management & Development

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives for engineering talent.
  • Build clear career growth frameworks to attract, retain, and nurture high-potential professionals.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and collaboration within the software division.

Data Security & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., NDPR, GDPR).
  • Oversee secure handling, storage, and transfer of data across all digital systems and applications.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent business management qualification is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering or technology leadership.
  • At least 5–6 years in a senior management role overseeing large, cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Proven track record in delivering scalable software products, preferably within SaaS or enterprise technology sectors.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong command of Java, Node.js, Angular, Ionic, PostgreSQL, and related modern frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in architecting and scaling large, high-performance systems and cloud-based applications.

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, analytical, and adaptable mindset suited for a dynamic work environment.
