KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Define and drive the vision, roadmap, and service offerings for HT’s cloud engineering function.
- Lead cloud transformation programs for internal and enterprise customers.
- Partner with product, cybersecurity, and architecture teams to deliver sclable, compliant, and cost-efficient solutions.
Architecture & Deliver Excellence
- Oversee design and implementation of secure cloud architectures (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also applicable).
- Champion infrastructure-as-code, automation, and DevSecOps practices.
- Ensure resilience, disaster recovery readiness, and high availability of mission critical systems.
- Govern platform performance, capacity planning, and SLA/SLO adherence.
People and Vendor Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop Cloud Engineers, SREs, and Platform Engineers.
- Manage partnerships with cloud providers and enterprise tooling vendors.
- Drive capability development, professional certifications, and cloud training programs.
Cloud Security & Governance
- Establish unified governance frameworks, tagging policies, and cost management standards.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Promote FinOps practices to optimize cloud expenditure and usage.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory
- Communicate cloud strategies, impacts, and insights to executive leadership.
- Provide expert input for client engagements, pre-sales activities, and solution proposals.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent; master’s degree is an advantage.
- 10+ years’ experience in cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.
- Minimum of 5 years in technical leadership or enterprise architecture roles.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Proven expertise in:
- Multi-cloud environments (strong preference for Azure).
- Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale.
- CI/CD, SRE, and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep).
- Cloud networking, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated delivery of large-scale migration or modernization programs.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or equivalent.
- Experience with FinOps or cloud cost optimization.
- Background supporting platforms in regulated industries (banking, telco, public sector).
- Strong vendor and contract negotiation experience.
