At Loral Schools, we maintain a culture of academic excellence which is supported by good educational management and healthy discipline. We uphold our motto to “Grip Knowledge Fast” in all our endeavors. As “Loral Lights” we stand out in areas of integrity, self-discipline and moral values, as well as soundness of body and mind. We have a calling to ensure the well-being of every member of the Loral family and to be a blessing to humanity. We know that no half measures has brought anybody to the pinnacle of success, therefore we approach every task with total commitment.

Core Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Infrastructure Maintenance

  • Hardware & Software: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications across all Nursery, Primary, and Secondary ICT labs.
  • Troubleshooting: Act as the first point of contact for "call-ins," resolving technical difficulties for staff and students promptly.
  • Repairs: Maintain system components through timely repair or replacement of faulty parts (e.g., routers, keyboards, monitors).
  • Inventory & Procurement: Maintain an accurate inventory of all ICT assets. Identify needs and place orders for new devices and installation tools as required.

Digital Presence & Web Management

  • Web Maintenance: Manage the Loral School website, ensuring all coding and content are updated and pertinent to school needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track website usability, link integrity, and "clicks" to ensure a smooth user experience for parents and prospective families.
  • Landing Pages: Create and optimize supporting web pages for school events, admissions, and announcements.

Network & Systems Operations

  • Connectivity: Monitor school-wide Wi-Fi and wired networks to ensure zero downtime during school hours.
  • Collaboration: Work with other ICT personnel to implement school-wide software updates and security patches.
  • Upgrades: Proactively suggest and implement upgrades to lab equipment to keep Loral at the forefront of digital learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Critical Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret vague technical complaints and use logical deduction to find the root cause of an issue.
  • Communication Excellence: Ability to explain technical concepts in "layman’s terms" to teachers and pupils. Professionalism in following up via email and phone is essential.
  • Patience & Empathy: A "helper" mindset. ICT Officers must remain calm and patient when assisting staff who may not be tech-savvy.
  • Physical Endurance: Capacity to handle the physical demands of the role, including relocating servers, hardware, and peripherals across the campus.
  • Educational Context: Prior experience in a school environment is a significant advantage.
