Job Summary
- The Computer Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and surveillance infrastructure.
- The role includes managing IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of CCTV systems across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Set up and maintain CCTV surveillance systems including cameras, DVR/NVR units, and monitoring stations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot CCTV systems to ensure proper functionality and data retention.
- Perform regular checks and preventive maintenance on CCTV infrastructure.
- Provide real-time support for network and system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Install and upgrade operating systems and business applications.
- Configure and manage firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Ensure security of IT and surveillance systems through access control, encryption, and threat prevention.
- Collaborate with vendors and security teams for surveillance system upgrades or expansions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in IT systems support, networking, and CCTV system management.
- Strong understanding of IP-based CCTV systems, DVR/NVR technology, and video management software.
- Knowledge of network protocols, server systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with access control systems and physical security integration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and floor plans.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
