Broadoaks British School is an all-through international school located in the prestigious Maitama district of Abuja, Nigeria. Established in 2016, the school offers education from reception to year 10 (expanding to year 11 in 2025), following the national curriculum for England and Wales, iGCSE, and Cambridge checkpoints. The school also has a dedicated SEN department, and an early years section called Teenee Todd's Day Nursery for children aged 3 months to 4 years, which follows the EYFS curriculum.

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a creative, results-driven Marketing & Communications Officer to lead our school’s marketing efforts and manage our online presence. This role combines traditional marketing with digital storytelling to promote the school’s identity, achievements, and values, while fostering meaningful engagement with prospective and current families.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing&Communications?

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to support enrollment growth and brand awareness.
  • Design and distribute promotional content such as newsletters, brochures, flyers, and adverts.
  • Coordinate school events, open days, and promotional campaigns.
  • Write and edit copy for internal and external communication channels.
  • Liaise with local press, vendors, and community organizations to enhance visibility.

Social Media & Digital Engagement

  • Manage and grow the school’s social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
  • Create and schedule engaging content: images, videos, infographics, and stories that reflect school culture.
  • Develop a monthly content calendar aligned with the school calendar and strategic goals.
  • Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Track engagement metrics and prepare performance reports..

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing and social media management, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills.
  • Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, and social media scheduling tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Creative and proactive, with a keen eye for detail.
