Role Overview

  • The Mass Communication Intern will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing Wale University’s official webinar series. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and digital media skills, and will be able to ensure smooth execution of all virtual events while maintaining high production quality and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, host, and manage Wale University’s official webinar series.
  • Liaise with speakers, moderators, and technical teams to ensure smooth event flow.
  • Draft webinar scripts, introductions, and post-event communication.
  • Manage webinar promotion through the university’s communication channels (email, social media, etc.).
  • Provide technical support during webinars (e.g., setting up Zoom/Teams links, managing chat/Q&A, etc.).
  • Create concise post-webinar reports and summaries for documentation and media sharing.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Media team to enhance audience engagement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Background or current study in Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Basic video editing and content repurposing skills are an advantage.
  • Creative approach to audience engagement and storytelling.
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
