Role Objective

  • Own and manage the media intelligence platform to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights that support communications, brand, and reputation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain keywords, topics, campaigns, and dashboards
  • Monitor media coverage, sentiment, share of voice, and impact metrics
  • Validate AI-generated insights and ensure analytical accuracy
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for senior stakeholders
  • Translate media data into strategic recommendations
  • Manage user access, taxonomy, and data governance standards
  • Act as the primary liaison with the platform vendor

Outputs & Success Metrics

  • Accurate and trusted media intelligence reporting
  • Consistent executive-ready dashboards and insight reports
  • Improved decision-making for PR and communications strategy
  • Demonstrable ROI from platform investment
  • Reduced risk from misinterpretation or misuse of AI-generated data

Requiremnets, Skills & Competency Requirements

  • Qualification: HND or BSC in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.

Essential Skills:

  • Media monitoring and PR measurement expertise
  • 1-3 years experience in the role.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Experience with dashboards, reporting tools, and Excel
  • Understanding of communications strategy and reputation management
  • Ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with AI-driven analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of ethical AI use, bias awareness, and data validation
  • Experience in marketing, corporate communications, or public affairs
