  - We are looking to hire a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist who will play a critical role in enhancing the organization’s Public Health Unit’s capacity to measure and improve the impact of its programs and initiatives.
  - This role involves developing research outputs, monitoring project performance, and supporting the creation of evaluation frameworks.
  - The MEL Specialist will also ensure effective knowledge dissemination and contribute to the continuous improvement of organizational practices.
  
 Responsibilities: 
 Research and Documentation
  - Develop and finalize high-quality research papers, policy briefs, and advocacy documents that inform program strategies and influence public health policy.
  - Identify suitable journals and platforms for the publication of research findings, ensuring that the organization’s work reaches relevant academic and professional audiences.
  
 Project Monitoring
  - Monitor project indicators and metrics throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the intended outcomes and objectives.
  - Conduct regular reviews and updates on project progress, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  
 Impact Evaluation
  - Assist in the development and implementation of tools and methodologies for evaluating the impact of research and program initiatives.
  - Conduct comprehensive impact evaluations on all products and services developed within the organization, providing insights to improve future projects.
  
  M&E Framework Development
  - Support the design and development of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks, including theories of change, logic models, and results frameworks, for proposals and grant applications.
  - Collaborate with program teams to ensure that M&E frameworks are integrated into program design and implementation.
  
 Data Management and Analysis
  - Ensure the timely collection, analysis, and reporting of data to support project monitoring and evaluation efforts.
  - Make relevant data and information readily available for use by the communications team, facilitating the creation of impactful reports and presentations.
  
 Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building
  - Facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization by documenting lessons learned and best practices from program implementation and evaluations.
  - Provide training and support to staff on M&E tools, methodologies, and best practices, building the organization’s capacity in monitoring and evaluation.
  
 Stakeholder Engagement
  - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align M&E activities with broader organizational goals and donor requirements.
  - Engage with partners, donors, and other key stakeholders to communicate findings and promote evidence-based decision-making.
  
 Quality Assurance
  - Conduct quality assurance checks on M&E processes and outputs to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of data and findings.
  - Continuously seek opportunities to improve M&E systems and processes, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the field.
  
 Requirements:
  - First degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field and relevant certification in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning from a recognized institution.
  - Minimum 5 years relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within the public health or development sector
  - Strong analytical skills with experience in developing M&E frameworks and conducting impact evaluations.
  - Proficiency in data analysis software and tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R).
  - Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to write clear and impactful research papers, reports, and policy briefs.
  - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  - Willingness to work remotely in neighborhood venues and to travel to other locations as required for the role.
