Key Responsibilities
- Produce, present, and edit short news videos on current Nigerian affairs.
- Source news responsibly from verified online and social media platforms, ensuring proper attribution and avoiding copyright violations.
- Present news clearly and professionally, showing your face intermittently throughout each video.
- Operate and manage a modern news media website, including uploading and formatting stories.
- Use WordPress efficiently for publishing, editing, and organising content.
- Manage and grow NewsMaximum Nigeria’s social media presence across major platforms.
- Edit videos using professional video?editing software.
- Maintain a personal mini?studio suitable for recording high?quality news videos.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of digital journalism, online engagement, and multimedia storytelling.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- A degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in news casting, video production, and digital content creation.
- Clear and confident on?camera presentation skills.
- Proficiency in video?editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, etc.).
- Ability to operate and manage a news website, especially WordPress.
- Strong command of English and excellent communication skills.
- Active personal social media accounts with evidence of content creation.
- Must reside in Lagos or Abuja.
- Must have a functional personal studio for recording.
