Summary
- As an engineer, you’ll be providing support to the organization’s network, security, voice, and server infrastructure.
- This role requires a hands-on engineer who can design, implement, and troubleshoot across multiple domains while ensuring uptime, security, and performance for critical business systems.
Core Responsibilities
Network Operations:
- Manage and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN infrastructure.
- Configure and support Aruba network switches, Aruba gateway, and wireless access points, Aruba ClearPass
- Implement and monitor VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and QoS policies.
- Troubleshoot latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues.
- Manage and support Fortigate firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba ClearPass Network Access Control Solution.
- Manage site-to-site VPNs, remote access VPNs, and secure tunneling.
- Monitor logs, IDS/IPS alerts, and ensure compliance with security best practices.
- Apply patches, harden systems, and conduct vulnerability remediation.
- Maintain enterprise telephony/UC platforms
- Manage SIP trunks, voice gateways, dial plans, and call routin.
- Administer Windows and Linux servers (on-premise and virtualized).
- Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
- Maintain VMware/Hyper-V clusters and ensure high availability.
- Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Deploy and manage monitoring tools (CheckMK, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).
- Track bandwidth utilization, uptime SLAs, and performance trends.
- Document changes, configurations, and incident resolutions.
- Provide L2/L3 escalation support for critical incidents.
- Conduct periodic preventive maintenance activities to maintain optimal performance of the network infrastrcture.
Requirements
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
- 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
Technical Expertise:
- Networking: Cisco/Aruba switches and routers.
- Security: Firewalls, Network Access Control (NAC).
- Voice: VoIP, SIP, RTP, QoS.
- Servers: Windows/Linux, VMware/Hyper-V.
- Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS/M365) is a plus.
Certifications:
- CCNP - Mandatory.
- NSE, HPE Aruba networking, MCSA/MCSE, Azure administrator - added advantage.
