About the Role

  • Are you a problem-solver who loves translating business needs into elegant system workflows? We’re
  • hiring an Odoo Business Analyst / Functional Consultant to design, configure and deliver end-to-end ERP solutions that improve efficiency, visibility and control for clients across manufacturing, distribution, retail, real estate and services.
  • You’ll lead discovery, map processes, configure Odoo modules, coordinate UAT, train users and support smooth go-lives- partnering closely with stakeholders, project managers and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Discovery & Process Mapping: Run workshops with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, HR and IT to capture requirements; document AS-IS/TO-BE using BPMN/flowcharts and clear user stories.
  • Solution Design: Translate requirements into Odoo configurations (Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, MRP, Projects, HR/Payroll, CRM, Website/eCommerce, POS). Define data models, workflows, and access controls.
  • Configuration & Prototyping: Build prototypes/sandboxes, iterate quickly and maintain configuration logs, test scripts, and functional specs.
  • Data Migration: Define templates, cleansing rules, and cutover plans; support ETL, trial loads and reconciliation (opening balances, stock, partners, price lists).
  • Testing & Quality: Drive SIT/UAT cycles, manage defects and sign-off criteria; ensure solutions meet performance, compliance and audit requirements.
  • Training & Change Management: Create user guides and SOPs; deliver role-based training and hypercare support to drive adoption and minimise go-live risk.
  • Integration Coordination: Work with developers on APIs and third-party tools (payment gateways, eCommerce, BI, logistics); write clear functional specs for customisations.
  • Project Governance: Contribute to project plans, risks, and status reports; track deliverables and timelines in Agile/Scrum or hybrid frameworks.
  • Post-Go-Live Support: Triage issues, prioritise enhancements, and hand over to support/AMS with solid documentation.
  • Reporting & Insights: Define KPIs and dashboards; enable management reporting (e.g., aging, inventory turns, WIP, project margins).

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Accounting/Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years’ hands-on Odoo functional experience (or similar ERP) delivering multi-module implementations.
  • Strong grasp of core processes: Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce, Hire-to-Retire, Project Accounting.
  • Proven ability to write BRDs/FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases, and SOPs.
  • Confident running workshops, building prototypes, and presenting to both business and technical audiences.
  • Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, basic SQL concepts, and using tools like Jira/ClickUp/Asana and diagramming (Visio, Draw.io).
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax/VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, and statutory reporting is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across Nigeria for client engagements.

Nice to Have

  • Odoo Functional Certification; exposure to Odoo Studio, Odoo.sh, and multi-company/multi-currency setups.
  • Domain experience in manufacturing (BOM/MRP), FMCG/distribution, retail/POS or real estate/project costing.
  • Basic Python familiarity to collaborate with developers; understanding of OCA modules.
  • Experience with integrations (REST APIs), payment gateways, eCommerce and Power BI or similar analytics tools.
  • Change management exposure (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR) and formal QA/test practices.
  • Membership in professional bodies (ICAN/ACA, NIMN, CIBN, NSE/COREN for techno-functional profiles).
