Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
  • The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining process automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • The Process Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, assess feasibility, and deliver robust automation solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Automation Solution Design:

  • Analyse existing processes to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define automation objectives.
  • Design and architect scalable and reliable process automation solutions.

Development and Implementation:

  • Develop automation scripts, workflows, and programs using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Implement and deploy automation solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing of automation solutions to validate functionality and performance.

Technical Documentation:

  • Create comprehensive documentation for automation solutions, including design documents, technical specifications, and user manuals.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for changes and updates to automation processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to understand requirements and align automation solutions with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure a clear understanding of automation processes.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Implement monitoring systems to track the performance of automation solutions.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates to automation processes, addressing any issues or improvements identified.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Provide technical support for automation solutions, addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve any infrastructure-related challenges affecting automation.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in process automation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and automation enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Process Automation Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with process optimisation and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
