Emergency Healthcare Consultants (EHCON) is a healthcare consulting company based in Lagos, Nigeria. EHCON focuses on emergency and critical care development through the whole spectrum of care from the prehospital setting to intensive care. EHCON's core team of trained emergency care specialists have expertise in medical education, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), EMT curriculum design and training, health policy and emergency care system design.
- The Program & Communications Officer will support the planning, coordination, and documentation of ECRF programs while managing the Foundation’s digital presence. This role is suitable for a corper or early-career professional with strong organizational skills, creativity, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment—particularly during public health emergencies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
- NYSC corpers or candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube).
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, or similar design/video tools is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and willingness to multitask.
- Ability to work under supervision and learn quickly.
- Interest in non-profit work, emergency care, or public health advocacy.
- Previous volunteering, internships, or student leadership experience is an added advantage.

- Internal: Executive Director, Program Associates, Volunteers, Board of Trustees
- External: Donors, clinicians, government agencies, media, and community partners
ACCOUNTABILITIES (RESPONSIBILITIES)
Program Support
- Support the planning and coordination of ECRF programs and activities.
- Assist with organizing trainings, meetings, volunteer activities, and advocacy events.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support for Board meetings (minutes, scheduling, documentation).
- Assist in tracking program activities, budgets, and basic reports.
- Support data collection from field activities and program reports.
- Assist with drafting concept notes, donor updates, and impact summaries under supervision.
Fundraising & Partnerships (Support Role)
- Support fundraising campaigns and donor engagement activities.
- Assist with grant research and proposal preparation.
- Help maintain relationships with partners, volunteers, and stakeholders.
Communications & Social Media
- Assist in developing and maintaining a content calendar aligned with ECRF goals.
- Create simple graphics, short videos, and social media posts.
- Support engagement by responding to comments, messages, and tags.
- Monitor relevant public health trends and flag items of interest.
- Assist in preparing monthly social media performance reports.
- Ensure content aligns with ECRF branding and tone.
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
- Performance will be reviewed quarterly, with emphasis on learning progress, reliability, initiative, and contribution to organizational goals.
WORKING SCHEDULE
- Standard hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
- Expected hours: ~45–50 hours/week
- Flexibility: Occasional evenings or weekends during programs or emergency response periods
