Job Summary
- The Senior Product Designer will lead end-to-end product design efforts across multiple digital platforms, combining deep user research, strategic thinking, and high-quality interface design to deliver intuitive and impactful user experiences. This role is responsible for shaping product direction, guiding junior designers and user experience researchers, transforming complex ideas into user-friendly solutions, and ensuring consistent and delightful experiences across all product and platform touchpoints. The Senior Product Designer will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Teams, and other stakeholders to align business goals with user needs, using a strong human-centered design approach.
Job Details
Product Design Leadership
- Lead the design of digital products from concept to launch, including discovery, user research, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity design, prototyping, and developer handoff.
- Drive the overall user experience strategy and ensure alignment with product vision and user needs.
- Translate complex business requirements into simple, intuitive, and elegant design solutions.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of design systems and UI component libraries across products.
Research & Insights
- Plan, conduct, and analyze user research including interviews, usability tests, surveys, and field studies.
- Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and opportunities for product improvement.
- Leverage analytics tools (Mixpanel, Smartlook, Maze, Hotjar) to uncover behavioral trends and validate design decisions.
Interaction & Visual Design
- Produce detailed user flows, customer journey maps, storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Deliver responsive, mobile-first, and accessibility-compliant designs.
- Identify UX issues and propose innovative solutions grounded in data and industry best practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to align design strategy with product development.
- Facilitate design workshops, brainstorming sessions, design critiques, and presentations.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring design quality and consistency.
Execution & Delivery
- Provide clear design specifications and documentation for engineering implementation.
- Conduct design QA reviews to ensure final builds meet design expectations.
- Iterate rapidly based on user testing, feedback, or business priorities.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Champion user-centered design, design thinking, and continuous discovery practices.
- Stay updated with evolving design tools, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to strengthening design operations and maturing the product design practice within ARM.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Design, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Engineering, or related fields.
- A relevant advanced degree is an added advantage.
Professional Requirements
- UX/UI Design Certification (Google UX, Nielsen Norman Group, Interaction Design Foundation, etc.)
- Product Design or Design Thinking Certification is a plus.
Experience Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design, or Interaction Design.
- Proven experience designing and launching digital products on a scale.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing complex UX/UI solutions and product strategy contributions.
