At Ruffntumble, we design, produce and retail clothing for boys and girls from new born to sixteen -year olds (0-16 yrs). Our style is trending with pieces that allow the young dynamic Nigerian to express their personal style. We have evolved over the years as the favourite brand for children’s clothing in Nigeria as well as the leader in our niche market. In addition to the locally produced clothes, we also retail international brands from the UK, Italy, Spain and America. We opened our flagship store in Ikeja GRA, Lagos in June 2000 and presently operate from 12 outlets across the country, five in Lagos (Ikeja GRA, Ikeja City Mall, Surulere, Palms Lekki and Apapa), two in Abuja, two in Port-Harcourt, one in Ilorin, Ibadan and Kano thereby making it easy for people to reach us from different parts of the country. In our expansion roadmap, we are opening soon in Delta, Owerri, Enugu and Edo States. In 2015, a store will be opened in Osapa, Lekki, and Festival Mall Festac town Lagos and a third store both in Abuja. We are proudly Nigerian.

About the job

  • The Social Media & Content Executive is responsible for shaping Gatimo Apparel’s digital voice and visual identity across all social media platforms. The role involves producing compelling content, managing daily online activity, showcasing the manufacturing process, engaging the digital community, and supporting brand visibility as a leading garment production company in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development

  • Create high-quality photo, video, and graphic content that reflects Gatimo’s brand identity, products, manufacturing processes, and client projects.
  • Capture daily behind-the-scenes activities in the factory—production lines, fittings, quality control, tailoring processes, and fabric sourcing.
  • Develop reels, TikTok videos, storytelling videos, and short-form content that highlight Gatimo’s craftsmanship.
  • Work with factory and production teams to identify daily content opportunities.

Social Media Management

  • Manage and grow Gatimo’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Post consistently following the approved content calendar.
  • Maintain brand tone, colour palettes, voice, and messaging across all platforms.
  • Optimize content using insights, SEO, trends, and relevant hashtags in the fashion production and uniform manufacturing space.

Community Management

  • Respond promptly and professionally to messages, comments, and enquiries.
  • Engage proactively with designers, schools, corporate organisations, influencers, and potential B2B clients.
  • Build a loyal online community around Gatimo’s quality, reliability, and craftsmanship.

Brand Storytelling & Positioning

  • Communicate Gatimo’s value proposition as a dependable garment manufacturer.
  • Highlight key services:
  • School uniforms, branded merchandise, corporate wear, bulk manufacturing, production for fashion brands, and custom apparel solutions.
  • Develop storytelling concepts that show before-and-after transformations, production stages, and client success stories.

Campaign & Shoot Support

  • Assist in planning and executing photoshoots for products, uniforms, and new collections.
  • Create creative briefs and ensure visual outputs meet brand standards.
  • Support marketing campaigns with the required digital content and social media coverage.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track weekly engagement, audience growth, reach, and overall content performance.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and insights to recommend improvements.
  • Prepare simple reports to guide strategy and future content decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Factory Manager, Production Supervisor, Quality Control Manager, and Business Development team.
  • Provide content support to the sales team for client presentations, proposals, and product catalogs.
  • Contribute design input for branding and promotional materials when needed.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Proficiency in phone and basic camera photography and videography.
  • Video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Rush.
  • Graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe Suite).
  • Creative storytelling ability and a strong eye for fashion and production aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
