Letshego MFB formerly FBN microfinance bank, incorporated in March 2008 and duly licenced by the Central Bank of Nigeria under the BOFIA (Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act No 25 of 1999), commenced operations January 2009. - The Quality Assurance Tester ensures Izifin delivers high-quality, reliable, and secure products. This role goes beyond executing test cases — it involves leading test strategy, driving automation initiatives, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to embed quality at every stage of the software development life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Create tests to identify software problems
- Lead the design, execution, and review of test strategies, plans, and cases for manual and automated testing.
- Drive automation initiatives by developing, maintaining, and scaling automated test suites across applications.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple platforms, browsers, and devices.
- Analyse test results, document defects, and track resolutions using tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
- Collaborate with developers and product manager early in the development cycle to define clear acceptance criteria.
- Ensure compliance with QA best practices and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Actively participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and provide QA input to improve development outcomes.
- Validate product security, reliability, and performance prior to release.
- Prepare and deliver QA reports, metrics, and dashboards for leadership review.
Candidates Requirements
- Strong expertise in QA methodologies, processes, and tools
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, Postman, JMeter)
- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in SQL for database validation and API testing
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to mentor junior team members
- Ability to balance attention to detail with deadlines in a fastp-aced startup environment
