Job Description

  • The Department of Mass Communication Prime University hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Radio and Television Studio Technologist.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical management, operation, and maintenance of the Department’s radio and television studio facilities. The role supports teaching, practical training, research activities, and student productions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain radio and television studio equipment, including audio mixers, cameras, lighting systems, and transmission tools.
  • Provide technical support during studio-based lectures, practical sessions, and live or recorded productions.
  • Assist students and staff in studio production processes while ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Conduct routine checks, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of studio equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of studio usage, equipment inventory, and maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to support innovative teaching and learning methods.
  • Practical experience in radio and television studio operations is mandatory.
  • Sound knowledge of broadcast equipment and digital production tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with students and academic staff.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND) or B.Sc in Broadcast Technology, Mass Communication (Broadcast option), Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related disciplines.
