Job Brief:
- System Engineers and Software Developers with strong technical knowledge of high-end mobile network applications such as OSS/BSS, CRM, IVR, PBX applications and switches work. Selected candidates will be part of the team focused on managing and extending applications used in customer management and support.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and become subject experts on the various applications used by Vitel Wireless for customer management and support including those of OSS/BSS, CRM, IVR, PBX, and others
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages and implement solutions to prevent recurrence as part of higher customer experiences.
- Collaborate with other engineering groups to ensure our network infrastructure continues to support applications and services effectively.
- Monitor network performance and integrity and adjust as needed to ensure optimal performance and reliability of those applications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, field agents, and customer support team.
- Participate in on-call rotation for network support.
- Build tools in support of network data analysis and production execution
- Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes of network and tooling issues.
Requirements:
- HND or bachelor’s degree in computer science, relevant technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in network support, with a focus on backbone and Internet routing.
- 3+ years experience in understanding and mitigating network hardware and topology failures.
- Proficiency in use of one or more OSS/BSS, CRM, PBX, IVR, SIP or other similarapplications used in customer management and support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with more than one of the OSS/BSS, CRM, PBX, IVR, SIP or other similar applications used in customer management and support.
- Experience with applications used for supporting networking systems.
- Experience with secure tunneling and VPN protocols.
- Experience with network function virtualization, SDN applications and protocols.
