Job Overview

The Systems Administrator Officer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role ensures system reliability, security, and performance across servers, networks, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in system administration, networking, and IT support, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime for critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and enterprise systems
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
  • Implement security measures, perform system updates, and patch management
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly
  • Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and incidents
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control
  • Support IT projects, migrations, and system upgrades
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and business teams to optimize infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements

Technical Competencies

  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Office 365 Support
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Azure
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Networking knowledge: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, switches
  • Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) are an advantage

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+) are an advantage
